July 30th 2010: Weltenbrand World Tour 2010

2010 is a very special year for 1349. This is the year that saw the release of our pinnacle album DEMONOIR, into which we have channeled the darkest and fiercest contents of our souls and given it an aural form. As the album was released, the band was already on American soil doing the first tour of the touring cycle as main support for Cannibal Corpse. We were obviously rather excited about how the songs would feel and sound live and thus of the crowd's reaction to the new material, but it turned out to work eminently. It felt fabulous! Furthermore, it became clear to us that we had to follow up what we had begun and go back to the States and play a headliner tour in the fall. This intent has turned into cold reality as we now embark on a co-headliner tour with Triptykon.

Many of you are familiar with 1349's bonds to the creative mastermind Tom G. Warrior, and for us it's like pieces of a puzzle that fall into place as we now go on tour with Triptykon on their first journey to the U.S. We talk about two mighty forces that here will be joined; in 1349 we see it as nothing short of a great achievement that we could make it happen. We can promise you that 1349 will feed off this great happening, and we boldly state that every show on this Weltenbrand tour will be a triumph! We look STRONGLY forward to share some truly magical moments with our American fans on this tour, and judging from the reception we got on our short-but-sweet tour with CC this spring (hails!), this is gonna be A HELL OF A RIDE.

To complete the line-up of this legendary 1349/Triptykon-tour, we have invited the splendid weirdos Yakuzi as our special guests. "Come feel the Fire"...as Overkill would have said.

April 30th 2010: Frost has arrived, 1349 lineup complete

Yesterday saw Frosts debut performance with 1349 on american soil, as he joined the rest of the band in Chicago.

The band lineup is finally complete for the rest of the tour.

April 24th 2010: Finally on our way to the States!

Finally we are on our way to the States!

Frost is further delayed due to additional paperwork, but Tony Laureano will step in until Frost arrives.

At the moment it looks like the first show will be at Crazy Donkey, Long Island on April 25th. The 26th will be spent at DUFFS in Brooklyn.

April 20th 2010: US tour press release

Unfortunately we will have to let all our fans know that we will notbe able to make it to the first shows of the tour with Cannibal Corpse.

First of all our visas, which we have applied for months ago, are still not being cleared and secondly air traffic in Europe has been a major problem in the last couple of days and still will be in the next days. We are trying our best to join this tour however right now we are not able to tell anybody when and if this is going to happen.

As soon as we have any news on the situation we will let you know.

March 19th 2010:1349 forced to cancel Copenhagen Metal Festival

With their deepest apologies to all their fans and supporters 1349 have to announce that they will not play at the upcoming "Copenhagen Metal Festival" festival on the 2nd of april, due to severe financial/organizational problems at the forefront of the event on the part of the responsible organizers.

1349 & Twisted Talent regret the latest proceedings and want to make sure that there will be no iteration of this situation.

DEMONOIR is without a shadow of a doubt 1349’s darkest, most sinister and brutal work to date, and in this case it comes to mean that the band has gone from the utterly extreme to the genre-expanding and mindboggling. Black Metal cannot, and will never be the same.

For the band's fifth full-length release -- which will be released by Indie Recordings throughout Europe on April 26, and by Prosthetic Records in North America the following day -- 1349 decided to suck out the fiercest and most potent energies from every single member and surroundings, channeling it into songs that are pulsating with uncanny atmospheres, rawness and nerve shattering intensity. The whole process of getting the material on record was like one long, exhausting black magic summoning that could not be allowed to go wrong.

February 17th 2010: Prosthetic Records to release new 1349 album in North America; Band to Tour North America with Cannibal Corpse

Prosthetic Records is proud to announce the release of the brand new album from Norwegian black metal legends 1349 in North America via an agreement with Indie Recordings. The new album, which promises a return to their more traditional raw, yet technical black metal sound, is slated for an April 13, 2010 release. In support of the yet to be titled record, the band will be supporting Cannibal Corpse in April and May along with Skeletonwitch and Lecherous Nocturne. (Note, 1349 are not on the last week of the tour; the following are only dates featuring 1349.)

January 19th 2010: 1349 signs to Indie Recordings

Indie Recordings are very proud to announce our new signing 1349.

The Norwegian Black Metal band 1349 rose from the ashes of Alvheim in 1997, and in 2003 they released their debut album, Liberation.

Since then, 1349 have added three more albums to their critically acclaimed catalogue and this spring 1349 will return with their fifth full length album.

1349 will also embark on a big tour later this year and are also confirmed to play at this year’s “Wacken Open Air” Festival and”Summer Breeze” festival.
