The darkest day of the year has just turned darker. The last band to complete the billing for 1349's December 21st "Countdown To The Apocalypse" concert is Nidingr. Nidingr's 3rd studio album is being released shortly, and the band marks this by joining 1349 at their concert at Parkteateret in Oslo. Alongside, we also find the already confirmed acts Aeon Throne and Monolithic and together with 1349, this completes this remarkable night.

Fredag den 21. Desember blir det musikalsk formørkelse på Parkteateret. Black Metal- bandet 1349 inntar scenen og ringer apokalypsen inn.
Bandet har tidligere i år spilt en rekke konserter i både inn- og utland, blant annet turnert med Marduk i USA, Canada, Mexico og Puerto Rico, og i oktober spilt den prestisjefylte festivalen Loud Park i Japan. Med flere kritikerroste album bak seg, hvorav den siste var "Demonoir" fra 2010, er bandet nå i gang med å jobbe på sitt 6. studioalbum, runder de av året med det som garantert blir en spesiell aften på hjemlige trakter.

Now the band have made plans for the darkest day in the year, and will do a headlining show at Parkteateret in Oslo on December 21st to mark the end of the Mayan calendar. While you await the arrival of Norwegian black metallists 1349 to storm the U.S. alongside Marduk, you can feast your eyes on the drawings that artist Kim Holm created of the band performing live:
The Aural Hellfire Legion stated, "From time to time, we (1349) get approached by other artists that find inspiration in our work and want to pay tribute to us. It is a great honor and such an awarding payback for the hard work we put into our art. Every now and then there is an artist that comes along that presents us with something so special that we want to share it and promote their work, and Kim Holm is a perfect example of this. This guy drew the band while performing live and was able to transform the live energy we present on stage into his drawings. Check out his work!"

April 19, 2012 - 1349 TO UNLEASH AURAL HELLFIRE IN PUERTO RICO
1349 will be bringing Aural Hellfire to Puerto Rico for the first time ever on June 1st. The band will then continue on to support Marduk on their North American tour, ending with a string of dates in Mexico.
Archaon comments: "It is with great excitement that we're looking forward to our 1st ever show on Puerto Rican turf. 1349 have played several places in Mexico, but have also for a long time wished to visit more areas in the south. After a year's absence, 1349 will be bringing their evil plague back to the shores of North America. The band have just confirmed for a June tour with Marduk, Withered and Weapon. Tickets for all dates will go on sale on Friday, March 9th. 1349 will also be announcing another special headlining show in conjunction with this tour in the coming weeks.
Ravn commented: "After touring North America at least once a year this tradition was broken in 2011 it is with honor we accepted the invitation from Marduk to tour with them. We look forward to once again cross this continent and spread our Aural Hellfire."

1349 will unleash Aural Hellfire a week from today at the 2012 Inferno Metal Festival in Lausanne, Switzerland alongside Meshuggah, Kruger and Borgne.
